Epoxy Countertop Comparison

There are a lot of countertop options out there, which can make it difficult to decide what suits your needs. We want to help you make an informed decision while showing you how epoxy can be an excellent option for any home or business. The most significant factors that most of our clients are impressed with is customizability, cost and durability.

Despite being offered at a competitive price, epoxy does also have benefits over alternatives. Epoxy tends to be more durable and won’t delaminate, chip, or crack unlike many alternatives.  Epoxy countertops can be repaired without a problem if damage does occur. If a granite, marble or concrete countertop chips or cracks, you are out of luck and a full replacement is typically needed. Similarly cheaper options such as laminate can be quite easily damaged or even delaminate over time, with no option to repair. They’re also easy on dishes, creating less wear on wear and lowering the risk of chipping or cracking dishes.

With endless design options, epoxy puts you in control of your countertop design, while buying natural stone literally puts in the car to spend days of looking at and deciding on slabs. Manufactured finishes such as quartz, laminate or corian do not allow for customization, only having the big box store choices to decide between. This also means your neighbors or friends may choose the exact same finishes for their home. With epoxy, your countertop is a hand made work of art that will always give you something unique

Design Options

We offer many different design options. That’s the beauty of epoxy; there are endless possibilities. We make every countertop by hand, so even if you and your sister order the same countertop style, both countertops will be individual and have a unique character.

Unlike shopping for a natural stone countertop, with epoxy you don’t have to drive around looking at slabs of stone trying to find the perfect slab. We can create your dream countertop by hand once you give us the colors and textures you want featured. Here are a few of the looks we offer:

  • Natural stone patterns

    • Marble

    • Granite

    • Slate

    • Soapstone

    • Quartzite

  • Any variety of colors from subtle to extravagant

  • Artistic designs such as seascapes, galaxies, etc.

  • Faux wood grain

  • Metallic patterns

    • Steel Mill Scale

    • Hammered Copper/Silver

    • Stainless Steel

Other design options are possible, such as adding a rock edge, along with sheen options from glossy to matte or anywhere in between! We’re happy to show you examples and provide recommendations upon request.

Is Epoxy Safe for Kitchen Countertops?

In recent years there has been incredible progress in epoxy development. We exclusively use a premium grade, countertop specific epoxy, making our countertops fully food safe and with zero VOCs. They are easily sanitized due to the sealed, hydrophobic nature of epoxy and have no creases, seams or “trouble spots” that make cleaning difficult. Because of this they make an excellent option both in residential kitchens as well as commercial spaces!
